EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon beach volleyball team swept its way past Bushnell in its 2023 home opener Wednesday afternoon at Amazon Park. The Ducks, including an exhibition match, did not drop a set and improve to 2-3 this season.

Playing in waves of two, the Ducks jumped out to a 2-0 advantage with wins at the No. 2 and 4 spots in the lineup. Ella Tyus and Bea Wetton continued their strong start to the season, posting their fourth win in five matches with a 21-8, 21-8 triumph over Roslyn McLellan and Madi Trueblood.
Oregon’s No. 4 duo of Natasha George and Ashley Schroeder secured the second point of the match (21-14, 21-9), good for their third win of the year. Abby Plevin and Batia Rotshtein clinched the dual victory with a 21-10, 21-10 win at No. 3 pairs.
Playing on the next court over, Kendall Clark and Presley McCaskill picked up an exhibition win in their first dual pairing of the season.
With the match in hand, Lolo Folau and Valerie Peterson posted a 21-14, 21-11 decision over Bushnell’s Abby Nelson and Anessa Stotts at the No. 5 spot. The Ducks went on to complete the sweep thanks to a 21-16, 21-15 sweep at the top spot by Zoe Almanza and Chloe Brown.
