COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri Volleyball Head Coach Dawn Sullivan announced Monday the addition of Emily Siefken as the team’s Director of Volleyball Operations.

Siefken heads to Mizzou after holding the same position at Texas Tech.

As the Director of Volleyball Operations, she will be in charge of all aspects of travel, budget, and summer camps, while also handling all statistical analysis and video.

Prior to Missouri, Siefken was also the Director of Operations for Volleyball at Texas Tech and Illinois State. During her time at both schools, Siefken handled team travel, administrative duties, statistical data analysis, and served as the volleyball camp director amongst other responsibilities.

Prior to working with volleyball, Siefken served as a graduate assistant director of operations for the men’s golf team at Illinois State.

Siefken also has athletic experience with Western Illinois’ marketing and external relations staff. She helped promote Leatherneck athletic events through various channels, including social media. She also interned with the Illinois High School Association, where she proposed and evaluated revenue-generating methods.

A native of Burlington, Iowa, Siefken earned a bachelor’s degree from Monmouth College in exercise science with a minor in business in 2016 while competing on the Fighting Scots basketball and softball teams. She graduated from Illinois State in 2018 with a master’s degree in sport management.

As a student-athlete, she earned Academic All-Midwest Conference honors in both sports, NFCA All-American Scholar-Athlete honors as a member of the softball team, and was named to the dean’s list all four years. She also served as an assistant to the volleyball coach at Monmouth, helping with team operations during the offseason.
