Faville Named Player of the Week


Muhlenberg junior Alyssa Faville was named Centennial Conference volleyball defensive player of the week.

Faville averaged 6.80 digs per set in a 2-1 week for the Mules. She averaged 7.14 digs in two CC matches, pulling up 27 in a four-set win vs. Ursinus and 23 in a three-set loss to Gettysburg. Faville added 18 digs in a sweep of DeSales and made only one reception error in the three matches. She also had 6 assists and 4 service aces.

For the season, Faville leads the CC and ranks 38th in Division III with her average of 5.33 digs per set. She is receiving serves at a 95.4 percent rate, with only 15 errors in 324 attempts. 

In only two seasons, Faville ranks 20th on the Mules’ all-time list with her 777 career digs, and her career average of 5.25 digs per set is well ahead of the school record of 4.81.
