MATCHES 25-26
Illinois volleyball hosts Rutgers and UCLA for a pair of matches at Huff Hall this weekend. Friday’s match against Rutgers is slated for 4 p.m. while Saturday’s match is scheduled for 7 p.m. Both matches can be viewed on B1G+.
The 2024 campaign marks the 51st season of Illinois volleyball, with the Illini holding an overall record of 1,081-630-7 (.632). Chris Tamas enters his eighth season at the helm for the Orange and Blue, boasting a 148-90 (.627) mark.

LAST TIME OUT
The Fighting Illini fell in straight sets at #8 Purdue on Sunday afternoon. Raina Terry paced the Orange and Blue with 18 kills, hitting .250 in the match while Christina Martinez Mundo led the way with 15 digs.
SCARY TERRY
In her final season donning the orange and blue, Raina Terry has been scary good against some of the Big Ten’s top teams and in comparison to the top individuals in the NCAA’s top volleyball conference.
Against 2023 National Semifinalist and then-ranked #7 Wisconsin, Terry posted a match-high 15 kills and a .375 hitting clip. The marks were better than reigning AVCA Player of the Year Sarah Franklin’s stats as the Badger pin posted a mere 13 kills and a .250 hitting rate while taking the same number of swings as Terry. The hitting percentage by Terry matched All-American opposite Anna Smrek while the Illini player posted eight more attempts than the Badger.
