PITTSBURGH – Head Coach Dan Fisher announces that Pitt volleyball has brought in a late addition to the 2024 roster in senior setter, Nisa Buzlutepe. She hails from Istanbul, Turkey and joins the team after playing three seasons at Texas A&M.
Buzlutepe comes to Pittsburgh after having the best season of her career in 2023, logging a team-high 631 assists and adding 148 digs and 19 aces. She played in all 29 matches for the Aggies and recorded a career-high 43 assists against Wright State. Buzlutepe registered at least 20 assists in 18 matches, pacing the Texas A&M offense.
She played club volleyball for Eczacibasi Sport and consistently represented Turkey at the international level. In 2017 and 2018, she placed second and third, respectively, at the U15 Turkish Championships. In addition, Buzlutepe finished second in 2019 at the Junior Turkish Team Championships and also started at Okyanus College in Istanbul.
