FIVB COACHES COURSE LEVEL 1 AT FIVB DEVELOPMENT CENTER THAILAND ENDS ON POSITIVE NOTE

Bangkok, Thailand, May 13, 2023 – After five days of intensive learning, the FIVB Coaches Course Level 1  at the FIVB Development Center Thailand ended on a positive note, with 29 candidates passing the exams to attend the certificate presentation ahead of the closing ceremony on Friday.

The course, which was organized between May 8 and 12 by Thailand Volleyball Association in collaboration with the FIVB Development Center Thailand and Asian Volleyball Confederation, was theoretically and practically conducted by FIVB Course Instructor Mr Bojan Mirkovic from Croatia and FIVB Course Assistant Mrs Feng Kun, former China women’s national volleyball team setter and captain who steered China to the 2004 Summer Olympics gold medal in Athens.

    

Twenty-nine candidates from 8 federations comprising Hong Kong China, Korea, Kuwait, Macau China, Philippines, Russia, Vietnam and Thailand obtained a good chance to learn important coaching matters including nature of volleyball as a team sport, role and moral principles of coach, rules of the games which include instructions for coaches and players, basic theory of training, basic technical skills, basic tactics and basic physical conditioning.

   

The FIVB Coaches Course Level 1 commenced on Monday and came to a successful close on Friday at the FIVB Development Center in Bangkok, Thailand, with Thailand Volleyball Association President Mr Somporn Chaibangyang and AVC Secretary General Mr Kiattipong Radchatagriengkai jointly presiding.

    

Also in attendance were FIVB Course Instructor Mr Bojan Mirkovic, Mrs Feng Kun and FIVB Instructor Prof Jose Inacio Salles Neto from Brazil, a renowned strength and conditioning coach, who had just completed his assignment as the Course Instructor in a three-phase FIVB Development Program, Seminar on Strength and Conditioning for Indoor Volleyball and Beach Volleyball for Thailand national team players.

   

AVC Secretary General Mr Kiattipong, himself a very accomplished coach, said on behalf of AVC President Mrs Rita Subowo, praised the efforts of all course attendants and their success in the course, wishing them to continue learning to achieve their career goals.

    

TVA President Mr Somporn also expressed his pleasure for the success of all course attendants, wishing them to bring back knowledge obtained from attending the Coaches Course and valuable experience shared among others for future use. He lastly wished them all a safe trip back home.
