FIVB LEVEL-2 COACHES COURSE NOW UNDER WAY AT FIVB DEVELOPMENT CENTER IN THAILAND

Bangkok, Thailand, October 10, 2022 – The FIVB Level-2 Coaches Course is now under way at the FIVB Development Centre in Thailand, with a total of 21 preferably active candidates from Hong Kong China, Indonesia, Scotland, Singapore and Thailand including six females taking part and FIVB Course Instructor Mr Bojan Mirkovic from Croatia directing the October 10-14 course, theoretically and practically.

The objectives of the five-day workshop are for the candidates to improve their knowledge and competence so that they may gain recognition as FIVB coaches in the near future, to establish, as much as possible, a unified system for training coaches in all zones and to exchange ideas and experiences among them.

Candidates stood a chance to learn theory of training, pedagogical aspects and planning as well as physical preparation, modern technical skills, how to teach skills, specialisation and universalisation, advanced tactics and various coaching aspects which provide a higher level of coaching for improved competition and enjoyment of this team-oriented, non-contact sport.

 

Thailand Volleyball Association President Mr Somporn Chaibangyang, AVC Honorary Life Vice President and Executive Director Mr Shanrit Wongprasert and Mr Tuschapone Ponerut, Director of Sports Office, Ramkhamhaeng University, jointly presided over the Monday’s opening ceremony at the FIVB DC Thailand.

 

Also joining the auspicious occasion of the inauguration were Mr Chai Nimakorn, Director of FIVB Development Centre in Thailand, Mr Issara Riddhisinha, General Manager of FIVB DC in Thailand, FIVB Course Instructor Mr Bojan Mirkovic and AVC Development Coordinator Ms Mingkwan Pusiddusid.

 

TVA President Mr Somporn delivered a welcome speech, a heartfelt greeting that expressed excitement and appreciation for all supports and assistance. He also wished all attendants successes in the course.

“It is a very good opportunity for all attendants to have a chance to learn from the instructor from the other continent. The course you are attending is composed of 21 participants from 5 federations including 6 females. I sincerely wish all participants the best success in this course and I strongly hope that all of you will use the knowledge gained from this course to develop and promote volleyball in your countries,” Mr Somporn said in his welcome speech.
