Five Named All-Region – Stanford Cardinal

STANFORD, Calif. – Led by Pacific Region Player of the Year Kami Miner, five Stanford women’s volleyball players earned all-region honors, the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced today. 

Joining Miner on the AVCA All-Pacific Region Team are Sami Francis, Jordyn Harvey, Elena Oglivie and Elia Rubin. Stanford has had at least four all-region players in 10 of the last 11 seasons. Players named to the all-region teams are now in contention to become 2024 AVCA All-Americans. 

Miner is the third player in program history to be selected the region player of the year following Kathryn Plummer (2017, 2018) and Kendall Kipp (2022, 2023). Stanford now boasts 131 all-region selections all-time (including honorable mention).

A native of Redondo Beach, Miner leads the ACC and is 11th nationally with 11.09 assists per set. The ACC Setter of the Year has guided the Cardinal offense to the third-best hitting percentage in the nation at .322 (would be a program record). The senior leads the team with 16 double-doubles on the season, averaging 2.62 digs per set. She became just the fifth player in program history to register 5,000 career assists and is third all-time at 5,087. Miner has recorded 40 or more assists in 14 matches and was named the ACC Setter of the Week six times this season.

Francis, an All-ACC First Team pick, is second in the ACC and fourth nationally with 1.56 blocks per set. She is also third in the conference and 12th in the nation with a .409 attack percentage. A three-time ACC Defensive Player of the Week, the senior has hit .400 or better in 20 matches this season and registered double-digit kills on eight occasions. She has tallied five or more blocks in 19 of 30 matches played.  

Harvey, who hails from Salt Lake City, leads the team and is eighth in the ACC with 0.37 aces per set. The sophomore is third on the team with 2.77 kills per set. She has registered double-digit kills in 17 matches and hit .300 or better 16 times, including 10 matches at .400 or higher. Her seven aces against Minnesota (Sept. 1) were one shy of the school single match record. 

A fifth-year from Honolulu, Oglivie is eighth in the ACC with 3.93 digs per set. She has collected double-digit digs in 25 matches and has two double-doubles on the season. She became just the fourth player in program history to record 2,000 career digs and currently ranks third all-time in program history with 2,045. This season, she has notched 15 or more digs in 11…
