TROY, N.Y. – The Union College football and women’s volleyball teams combined for three weekly award winners and the Garnet Chargers added two more to the weekly honor roll for the week ending November 10, the conference office announced on Monday afternoon.
Football Offensive Performer of the Week: Patch Flanagan
Flanagan completed 22-of-31 passes for a career-high 325 yards and three touchdowns to lead Union to a 34-13 victory over Rochester on Saturday. The senior had an excellent first half to help Union take a lead into halftime, hitting 14-of-18 throws for 225 yards over the first 30 minutes, including two touchdown throws of 45 and 56 yards in the span of 68 seconds late in the second quarter.
Football Defensive Performer of the Week: Cole DaSilva
DaSilva led the Union defense to a 34-13 victory over Rochester on Saturday, recording a career-high 16 tackles (seven solo) and one sack. He increased his conference-best total to 104 for the season, the first Union player to reach triple figures since Jake Lombardo ’18 in 2017 and moving him into a tie for 10th place on the school’s single-season list.
Women’s Volleyball Performer of the Week: Shannon McGrath
McGrath averaged 3.5 kills and 3.9 digs per set against quality competition last weekend, finishing the weekend with 39 kills, 43 digs and 10 service aces over 10 sets. She started the weekend with a big match in a 3-1 win over Western New England, putting down 18 kills, posting a career-high 25 digs and adding a match-best five aces. She then led all players with 17 kills the next day against #4 MIT, helping Union take just the 10th set off the Engineers all season in a hard-fought 3-1 loss.

Women’s Basketball: Jenna Forman
Forman was named to the All-Tournament Team at the Lafrance Hospitality Tournament over the weekend, averaging 9.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.5 blocks and 1.5 steals per game in leading Union to a 1-1 record.
Women’s Volleyball: Allie Kronenberg
Kronenberg averaged 7.7 assists and 2.0 digs per set against quality competition last weekend, finishing the weekend with 85 assists, 22 digs, eight kills and three blocks over 10 sets. She started the weekend with a near double-double in a 3-1 win over Western New England, dishing out 39 assists to go with nine digs, three kills and four aces. She chipped in 33…
