LAURINBURG, NC – The Bryan College Volleyball team made the long trip up to St. Andrews University for an Appalachian Athletic Conference matchup against Knights on Friday night. St. Andrews got out to an early lead in Set 1, but the Lady Lions battled back to win the extended set 28-26. Bryan went on a 6 point rally in Set 2 to give them the cushion needed to win 25-18. The Knights ran out of steam in Set 3 as the Lady Lions built an early 12-2 lead and cruised their way to earn the sweep 25-15. Both Bryan and CIU earned victories tonight leaving them tied at the top of the AAC standings with 2 losses each.
INSIDE THE BOX
- Gigi Ford recorded a season-high of 17 kills with 15 digs.
- Raegan Malugin also tallied a season-high of kills with 11 and a .550 hitting percentage.
- The Lady Lions were lethal with their serves with 9 aces, led by Jurnee Wilson with 3.
- Elliott Brock anchored the defense with 18 digs.
NEXT TIME OUT
- The Lady Lions will play their final game of the regular season on Tuesday on the road against Montreat at 6:30PM.
