RENTON, Wash. –  Washington State Women’s Volleyball Head Coach Jen Greeny was officially voted into the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA) Hall of Fame as a member of the Class of 2022 as announced by the state’s high school athletics’ governing body Tuesday.

The Class of 2022 will be honored at the 2023 Hall of Fame Induction Luncheon at the Renton Pavilion Events Center on Wed., May 3rd. Tickets for the event will go on sale March 13th.

Greeny (Stinson), now a two-time Pac-12 women’s volleyball Coach of the Year who has amassed over 300 career wins as a collegiate head coach, was a three-sport athlete during her high school athletics career.  An all-state performer in both volleyball and track & field (high jump), Greeny (Stinson) still owns the Washington state record on the basketball court for career points scored.

At WSU she became the seventh player in WSU history with 1,000 career kills. A three-time All-Pacific-10 Conference selection, Greeny also excelled in the classroom where she was WSU’s Athlete of the Year in 1998-99. In her time as a student-athlete, WSU ranked as high as fifth in the nation and made the first trip to the NCAA Tournament elite eight in program history.  Greeny re-joined the Cougars as an assistant coach following her playing days, helping WSU to its second elight eight appearance from the sidelines in 2002.  She has since taken her alma mater to a program-record seven-consecutive tournament appearances (2016-22) and is second all-time with 209 head coaching victories at WSU.

Washington State finished the 2022 season 23-10 overall and 14-6 in the Pac-12.  WSU tied its highest win total (23) under coach Greeny and matched the highest conference win total (14) in WSU volleyball history.  The Cougs earned an at-large bid to a seventh-consecutive NCAA Tournament run which ended this past weekend with a second-round exit at the hands of No. 2 seed San Diego.
