Gallaudet begins Knights Invitational against Gettysburg


ASTON, Pa. – The Knights Invitational hosted by Neumann University got underway Friday as Gallaudet University went up against Gettysburg College. The Bison (4-6) lost in straight sets to the Bullets; 15-25, 20-25, 22-25, at The Mirenda Center.

Junior opposite Emily Wright (Penn Valley, Calif.) led the Bison with nine kills as fellow junior setter Emma Giuntoli (Austin, Texas) passed out 13 assists and made five digs. Junior defensive specialist Lelia Sicoli (Austin, Texas) led the team with 12 digs and three service aces. 

Gettysburg (9-1) was led by Kylie Ulrich’s nine kills and Kendall Erpenbeck’s 13 assists and seven digs in the win.

BISON TRACKS

  • Of the five matches on Friday, three of them finished in straight sets
  • Gettysburg and Stockton were the only schools to go 2-0 on the day
  • The two undefeated teams will play at noon on Saturday

UP NEXT
GU will play two matches on tomorrow (Saturday, Sept. 17) against Widener University at noon and the host Knights from Neumann at 2 p.m.
