PITTSBURGH – Volleyball’s Olivia Babcock and Cross Country’s Quintin Gatons were named this week’s PNC Achievers of the Week.
Olivia Babcock set a new program record with 12 aces in Pitt Volleyball’s match against Boston College and collected her first career triple-double with 14 kills, 12 aces and 10 digs in the win. She continued her top tier performance when she notched six kills, two aces, two blocks, a dig and an assist in the sweep over Syracuse.
Quintin Gatons finished in 34th place at the Lehigh Paul Short Run, Saturday morning. Gatons was the top finisher for the Panthers, who notched a sixth-place team finish in the 8k gold race. The senior from Greensburg, Pa., recorded a new personal best of 24:08.4, beating his previous time by nearly 12 seconds.
