With the No. 11 spot, the Gators run their streak to 32 consecutive years of ranking in the Top-15 of the AVCA preseason poll – the third-longest streak in the nation (Nebraska, Stanford – only Nebraska’s is still currently active).
Florida streak dates back to 1992, when the squad began the year ranked No. 12.
During the 2022 season, UF went 25-6 overall and 15-3 in the Southeastern Conference. The team made its 33rd NCAA Tournament appearance, including its 32nd consecutive trip, while also claiming the squad’s 25th SEC Championship.
To start the 2023 campaign, Florida opens at the Road 2 Tampa Bay Invitational, facing No. 8 Penn State on Aug. 25 at 8 p.m. at Amalie Arena, before taking on host South Florida on Aug. 26 in the Yuengling Center at 8 p.m.
UF is set to face six ranked opponents during the 2023 season, including five opponents in the Top-15: No. 2 Wisconsin, No. 3 Stanford, No. 7 Minnesota, No. 8 Penn State and No. 11 Kentucky.
