CHARLOTTE – Duke volleyball middle hitter Breonna Goss was named ACC Freshman of the Week following her performance over the weekend.
Goss tallied 27 kills over three matches to help Duke to a 2-1 weekend, including a career-high 13 against Davidson. Against the Wildcats, Goss was flawless and did not record an attacking error as she hit .684 percent for the game. In the three matches, Goss added 11 total blocks with four digs.
In her debut season, Goss is hitting .405 percent with just seven attacking errors.
Goss and the Blue Devils will return to competition this weekend as they travel to University Park, Pa., to take on Princeton, No. 3 Penn State and St. John’s.
