Hannah Southcott Selected to CoSIDA Women's Volleyball Academic All-District Squad


Cortland senior Hannah Southcott (Princeton, WV) has been chosen to the 2021 Division III Women’s Volleyball Academic All-District team for District 3.
 
The team is selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). In Division III, District 3 encompasses all schools in New York State. Southcott is eligible for national Academic All-America recognition, which will be announced later this month.
 
Southcott is a speech and hearing science major with a 3.89 cumulative grade point average entering the 2021 fall semester.
 
The outside hitter was named a Division III honorable mention All-American, earned a spot on the all-region first team, and was the SUNYAC Women’s Volleyball Player of the Year after recording 385 kills (3.85 per set) and 272 digs (2.72 per set) in 100 sets over 28 matches. She helped Cortland finish 27-4, win the SUNYAC regular-season and tournament titles, and win an NCAA tournament opening-round match to tie for 17th place nationally.
