Heath, Johnson, Wray Named CSC Academic All-District


TUCSON, Ariz. – Volleyball’s Ana Heath, Alayna Johnson, and Haven Wray were named CSC Academic All-District, the association announced on Tuesday. The 2023 Academic All-District® Volleyball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
 
Heath, a nutritional sciences major who has a 3.547 GPA, is receiving her first Academic All-District selection. As Arizona’s primary setter, she recorded 1,037 assists, 49 blocks, and served 41 aces this season.
 
Johnson, a sports and society major with a 3.684 GPA, is receiving her second Academic All-District selection. This season, Johnson started all 31 matches and tallied 79 blocks and 144 kills for the Wildcats.
 
Wray is a finance major with a 3.597 GPA and is receiving her first Academic All-District honor. Wray totaled 161 digs and averaged 1.69 digs/set across 101 sets during the season.  

Heath will be considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced Jan. 9, 2024.
