Huskies Fall To Bruins In Straight Sets In L.A.

Washington Volleyball had a tough night at the office at Pauley Pavilion, falling in straight sets to the Bruins, 25-23, 25-23, 25-20. Emoni Bush led the Huskies with a dozen kills on .417 hitting but the Bruins pulled out tight sets one and two and completed the season sweep of the Dawgs.
 
Washington fell to 8-7 in Big Ten play and 18-7 overall. The Huskies hit just .183 for the match while UCLA connected at a .252 rate. The Huskies had six blocks while UCLA had only one, but the Bruins had 48 kills to just 35 for Washington, and the Bruins led in digs, 53 to 46.
 
Bush had 12 kills on 24 swings and nine digs, and Audra Wilmes added eight kills and five digs. Julia Hunt had six kills and four blocks. Madi Endsley returned to action after missing the last match, and she had six kills. Molly Wilson was one dig shy of a double-double with 15 assists, nine digs, and two aces.
 
Up Next: Washington looks to get right at home on Sunday against Northwestern. First serve has been moved to 1 p.m. at Alaska Airlines Arena.
