SEATTLE — Washington Volleyball starts the second half of conference play back at home this week, where UW will have six of the final 10 conference matches as it makes a push for the postseason. The Huskies have won three in a row at home but dropped their past two on the road last week, so they’ll look to start a new streak and continue the home cooking on Friday against Oregon State at 7 p.m. at Alaska Airlines Arena. That match will be televised on Pac-12 Networks Washington.

Sunday, 9th-ranked Oregon comes to town on a match that will now be televised on ESPN, moving from the originally scheduled ESPN2.

Halfway through the conference season, Washington (13-8) sits tied for sixth with Colorado and Utah with a 4-6 record. Washington’s RPI stands at No. 35, a solid number but one the Dawgs will want to keep pushing higher over the next five weeks. UW ranks fifth in the Pac-12 with a .240 attack percentage in league matches, and fifth with 12.26 kills per set. 

Oregon State comes in with a 2-8 conference record but with a top-25 upset two weeks ago over a ranked Arizona State squad. The Beavers had a five set loss to Cal in their last match. Washington won in four sets in Corvallis, with two sets going extra points. Against the Bears on Sunday, Mychael Vernon had 23 kills and the Beavers as a team had an impressive 89 digs. Ryan White ranks sixth in conference play with 3.67 digs per set. 

Oregon is one of three teams tied for third with a 7-3 conference record, having lost to Stanford, Washington State, and Arizona State. The Ducks are ranked ninth and have been as high as No. 5. Washington took the first set off Oregon in Eugene but dropped the next three. The Ducks limit opponents to a Pac-12 best .157 attack percentage and are hitting .281 in conference to rank fourth. Mimi Colyer is fifth with 4.08 kills per set. Kara McGhee leads the Pac-12 with a .458 attack percentage and Hannah Pukis is second with 10.99 assists per set. Karson Bacon ranks third in blocks at 1.36 per set.
