SEATTLE– The University of Washington Beach Volleyball team heads to the Golden State to compete in the West Coast Championships. This weekend’s tournament is filled out with of many of top teams in the country, which will provide the Beach Dawgs with a measuring stick to see how they match up with other top teams. The matches start at 9 a.m. on October 20th and will go into the afternoon on the Manhattan Beach Pier through Sunday, October 22nd.
The tournament is broken down into three days and multiple divisions. The Gold Division will have pool play on Friday. Saturday will feature single-elimination playoffs. The weekend will wrap up with the semi-finals and finals. The weekend will be three days of pool play for the pairs competing in the Silver, Bronze, and Copper Divisions. All results from this tournament will provide ranking points toward the Pairs National Championship in Huntsville, Alabama.
Almost every team in this weekend’s slate of action was in the 2023 NCAA Beach Volleyball Championships, including the national champion and national runner-up. The Huskies will face nine other teams that ended last season ranked in the top 20.
