MATCHES 23-24

Illinois volleyball hosts #20 USC and Ohio State this weekend at Huff Hall. First serve versus the ranked Trojans is slated for 5 p.m. on Friday. Saturday’s match against the Buckeyes is slated for 7 p.m. Fans can catch both contests on B1G+.

The 2024 campaign marks the 51st season of Illinois volleyball, with the Illini holding an overall record of 1,079-628-7 (.632). Chris Tamas enters his eighth season at the helm for the Orange and Blue, boasting a 146-88 (.627) mark.

LAST TIME OUT

The Fighting Illini fell to #7 Wisconsin in straight sets on Sunday. Raina Terry led all players with 15 kills while also posting a .375 hitting percentage. Defensively, Christina Martinez Mundo also paced the match with 13 digs.

REIGN OF TERROR  

Raina Terry continues to impress as the outside hitter competes in her final season in the Orange and Blue. Entering Big Ten play, the Ohio native ranked second in the Big Ten with 210.5 points and 5.13 points per set this year. This season, Terry’s 428.5 points and 5.23 points per set put the outside second in the league. Her 44 aces and 354 total kills rank third in the league. During the Illini’s four tournaments this year, the Orange and Blue standout was named to all four all-tournament teams, being named the MVP twice.

The outside hitter is the only player in the Big Ten with over 200 career aces and over 1,900 career kills.
