IMMACULATA, Pa.- Paul Murphy, Immaculata University Director of Athletics and Recreation announced the hiring of Josh Elliott as the Head Coach of Men’s Volleyball.
“Josh will be a tremendous addition to our athletics team. His knowledge of the sport and his excitement to mentor our student-athletes while developing their talents makes me confident that he will bring success to our program,” said Murphy. “As Immaculata transitions from an NCAA Independent in men’s volleyball to a member of the United East Conference for the 2025-26 academic year, Josh’s hiring could not come at a better time. A year of development for the current roster while recruiting and adding a handful of quality student-athletes to the roster for next season should put us in a position to compete for a playoff spot in our inaugural year in the United East with some other quality universities.”
Elliott comes to Immaculata after serving as the Head Women’s Volleyball Coach at Delaware County Community College a NJCAA Division III program. Elliott as the Head Coach helped restart the program post pandemic. Elliott also serves as a Head Coach in the Liberty Belle’s Volleyball Club, one of the oldest clubs on the East Coast. He has been trained and certified by Gold Medal Squared. An elite training program created by a pair of Olympic Gold Medalists.
Elliott is no stranger to Division III men’s volleyball, having played four years of volleyball at Emerson College as a setter and outside hitter. He was a starter all four years, served as team captain his senior year, earning All-Conference Honors.
After graduating from Emerson, Elliott played indoor and beach volleyball for Newcastle University in the UK while pursuing his master’s degree. While at Newcastle, Elliott played for Team Sunderland in the United Kingdom’s Professional Super League.
Elliott played his high school volleyball at the Salesianum School in Wilmington, Delaware, winning three championship titles. He was named First Team All-State in 2017 and 2018, and Second Team All-State in 2016. He also played for Quandomania Club Volleyball for indoor and beach volleyball.
