A WEEK IN REVIEW
- The Notre Dame Fighting Irish fell to Miami in four (13-25, 25-21, 27-29, 15-25) on Friday, Oct. 27 and Florida State in three at home on Sunday, Oct. 29 (18-25, 18-25, 22-25).
- Phyona Schrader led the Irish with 10 kills and a .421 hitting percentage. She was followed by Sydney Palazzolo with nine kills.
- In Sunday’s match against the Seminoles, Palazzolo led the way with 12 kills followed by Ava Lange with 11 kills. Nicole Drewnick dished out a team-best 27 assists.
- The Irish set a season-high attendance against Miami as they had a crowd of 2,128, which sits at number 15 for the highest attendance in program history.
- Purcell was also packed on Friday, Oct. 13 against Virginia and Sunday, Oct. 15 against Pitt. Friday’s crowd of 2,070 and Sunday’s crowd of 2,016 were the highest attendance numbers the program has had in the last nine years and are the 17th and 18th highest attended matches in program history.
- Since the start of the #RockwellEra, attendance has been up 175% and is up 83% since last year.
HISTORY VS. CLEMSON
- This will be the 15th meeting between the Irish and the Tigers with the Irish leading the overall series 10-4.
- Notre Dame has won eight of the last nine matchups against Clemson with their most recent victory being a three set sweep over the Tigers on the road in the 2021 season (25-20, 25-23, 26-24).
- The Irish fell last season in five (17-25, 25-19, 20-25, 25-21, 13-15) at home on October 2, 2022.
- Charity McDowell recorded a career-high 10 blocks and Paris Thompson had recorded a team-best 16 kills, followed by Avery Ross who finished 14 kills and .407 hitting percentage.
