The Issa Bin Rashid Volleyball League, issued by the Competitions Committee of the Bahrain Volleyball Association, will get underway at Issa Bin Rashid Gymnasium in Manama, Bahrain on October 23, with 14 teams strutting their stuff in the 2023-2024 season to vie for the eventual title.
According to their results in the previous season, teams were divided into two pools of seven teams apiece. Pool A comprises Dar Kulaib, Muharraq, Nabih Saleh, Busaiteen, Aali, Al-Ma’ameer and Aldair, with Pool B consisting of Al-Najma, 2021-2022 Bahrain League champions Al-Ahli, Al-Nasr, Bani Jamra, Al-Tadhamon, Al-Shabab and Ittihad Al-Reef.
Teams will contest the pool round-robin preliminaries, with top three teams from each pool qualifying for the Issa Bin Rashid League (totalling six teams). The teams finishing fourth to seventh places in each pool will next play in the BVA League. Furthermore, the BVA has already kicked off its 2023/2024 season earlier this month with the Junior League competitions.
