CHARLOTTE – Graduate students Gracie Johnson and Emma Worthington picked up a pair of ACC weekly accolades, the conference office announced Monday.
Johnson was named ACC Co-Offensive Player of the Week while Worthington was named Setter of the Week.
The two helped Duke to a 2-0 weekend with wins over Wake Forest (3-1) and Virginia Tech (3-0).
Johnson was sensational on both sides of the ball all weekend. She collected 32 kills and committed just five errors to hit .500 percent for the weekend. She played to a .471 clip against the Demon Deacons with 20 kills and 14 digs for her 26th-career double-double. She also added six aces and four blocks to round out her weekend performance.
With her 14 digs on Friday, she became the 13th player in program history to collect 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs.
Worthington continued to be steady for Duke as she dished 79 dimes over two matches. Her 46 assists against the Demon Deacons was her 20th-career game with 40 or more assists.
Duke will hit the road to take on No. 5 Louisville Friday at 7 p.m. on ACCNX.
