Jordan Peiser Earns All-Academic Honors from United Volleyball Conference

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The United Volleyball Conference announced its All-Academic List for the 2024 season and recognized 56 student-athletes from the league’s eight full-time members for their contributions on the court and their excellence in the classroom. For Elmira, Jordan Peiser ’24 earned recognition from the league for the third consecutive season, after doing so in 2022 and 2023.

This marks the 11th year the UVC has recognized academic achievement. Recipients of this Academic List must have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.30 (on a 4.00 scale), a 4.10 (on a 5.00 scale) or an 82 (on a 100 point scale) following the completion of the spring semester. In addition, the student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically, display positive conduct on and off campus and be enrolled full-time at the member institution.

NCAA National Championship match participant Vassar College led all UVC programs with 14 student-athletes honored in 2024. MIT was right behind with 12 student-athletes garnering the prestigious all-academic accolade, while UVC Champion and NCAA National Semifinalist NYU had nine student-athletes honored.

Additionally, six of the eight institutions were acknowledged as UVC All-Academic Teams for registering a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher for 2024 spring semester.  NYU, MIT and Vassar all recorded at least a 3.5 team GPA, with NYU leading the way with an impressive 3.59 mark.
