The Kazakhstan men’s sitting volleyball team is holding training in the Islamic Republic of Iran Sports Federation for the Disabled (IRISFD) base in Tehran with reigning Paralympic and world champions Iran.
The Kazakh squad’s training camp will be from May 5 to 15, in preparation for their upcoming hosting of ParaVolley Asia Oceania Zonal Championships from July 3 to 8 in Astana, and the Asian Para Games in Hangzhou, China in October.
Eight men’s teams have already confirmed their participation with the goal of qualifying for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.
Kazakhstan placed seventh overall in the 2022 World ParaVolley Sitting Volleyball World Championship in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Iran got the direct qualification to Paris 2024 as winners of the 2022 World Championship.
