KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee volleyball team opened up the 2022 campaign with a three-set victory over Belmont Saturday afternoon inside Thompson-Boling Arena.
UT’s fresh faces played a key role in the victory with freshman Kadynce Boothe and sophomore transfer Erykah Lovett starting all three frames. Graduate transfer Abigail Matoso appeared in sets one and three, while Oregon transfer Kylie Robinson started the third set.
Head coach Eve Rackham Watt rolled out multiple lineups against the Bruins as the Lady Vols get prepared for the start of the regular season.

On opening up with an exhibition win over Belmont
“It always feels good to win, but the best thing about today is that we got an opportunity to see different players on the floor,” Rackham Watt said. “It was great to see our newcomers get out on the court and play against someone other than ourselves. We still have work to do before next week so we’ll watch the film and get back in the gym and prepare for Loyola Chicago.”
