The elections were held during the Zonal Association’s annual assembly in Thailand
Earlier this month, Mr Mohamed Latheef from Maldives was re-elected as the President of the Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA) during its Annual General Assembly 2024 held in Bangkok, Thailand.

Mr Latheef was re-elected for a second term from 2024 to 2028. The Annual General Assembly was attended by representatives from 13 National Federations, as well as the FIVB and Asian Volleyball Confederation leadership. The election also saw key positions, including the First Vice President, Vice Presidents and members of the Board of Administration, filled.

During the CAVA Annual General Assembly, Mr Kylychbek Sarbaghyshev from Kyrgyzstan was endorsed as the Executive Director and A.S Nalaka from Sri Lanka as the Secretary General of the Zonal Association.
