Lauren Jardine Heads To 2023 Women's National Team Open Program


COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Rising junior Lauren Jardine will represent Utah Volleyball at the U.S. Women’s National Team Open Program this weekend at the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. Jardine will begin the open tryouts this Friday through Sunday, Feb. 24-26.

The Women’s National Team Program is used for consideration for selection to both the Women’s National Team and the Women’s Collegiate National Team. The 2023 U.S. Women’s Collegiate National Team will train in Anaheim alongside the U.S. Women’s National Team athletes and staff. Dates for the WCNT training block will be announced at a later date.

Jardine is coming off her first season as a Ute after transferring to the program last fall. The Highland, Utah native played in all 31 matches with 22 starts at outside hitter. She played 106 sets, which was the third most on the team, and finished second on the team with 2.53 kills per set. Jardine recorded double-digit kills in 13 matches and posted a season-high 15 kills against Colorado.

Jardine posted 14 kills in four separate matches, highlighted by 14 kills on .355 hitting against Utah State. Her most efficient match of the season was against California where she recorded a .727 hitting percentage with eight kills on 11 swings. Along with her 268 kills, Jardine added 40 blocks and 40 digs.
