Levinska Drives Sun Devils To 3-1 Win Over Beavers

TEMPE, Ariz. – Behind 20 kills from Marta Levinska, Sun Devil Volleyball beat Oregon State in four sets (20-25, 25-20, 25-15, 25-15) on Friday night in Desert Financial Arena.

Notable Stats

  • Arizona State (11-12, 5-6 Pac-12) completed the season sweep over Oregon State (7-14, 2-9 Pac-12) after the win tonight. ASU held OSU to a .127 hitting percentage.
  • Junior pin hitter Marta Levinska had a stand-out night, putting away 20 kills on a .500 clip. This is her second time this season reaching 20-plus kills. She also had eight digs, two blocks and two aces.
  • The team had 12 blocks, which is the third time in the last five matches that ASU has reached double figures in blocks. Junior Claire Jeter, in her first game back after being out last weekend, led the way with seven.
  • The other Sun Devil in double figures in kills was Iman Isanovic with 15. She had a double-double with 10 digs, her ninth of the season. She also moved into sole possession of 11th place in career kills in the ASU record book with 1,270, passing Mindy Gowell (1987-91).
  • Senior setter Shannon Shields led the offense, tallying 38 assists in the win. She added seven digs and three blocks, the latter of which is a season high.
  • At libero, senior Annika Larson-Nummer led the team in digs with 13. This extends her career-long streak of matches in a row with double-digit digs to eight.
  • This was the sixth-highest attended volleyball match at ASU with 3,502 tickets sold….
