ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – The Lewis University women’s volleyball team announced its 2024 season schedule Tuesday (July 9). The schedule features seven home matches and early season opportunities to make a statement at the Florida Southern Tournament and Colorado Premier Challenge.
The Flyers finished the 2023 season ranked No. 15 in the AVCA Poll after winning the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament for a third consecutive season and made it to the NCAA II Midwest Regionals.
After trips to Florida and Colorado, Lewis will travel to New York for four matches between Sept. 20-21 and then kick off GLVC play at Southwest Baptist on Friday, Sept. 27 at 6 p.m. The home opener will be against Rockhurst on Friday, Oct. 4 at 6 p.m. at Neil Carey Arena.
Lewis will play in Hammond, Ind. at the Hammond Sportsplex for the NCAA II Midwest Region Crossover Oct. 18-19 with a chance to play the top teams in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and Great Midwest Athletic Conference. Schedule will be announced the weekend prior to competition.
The Flyers’ home and regular season finale and senior day will be Saturday, Nov. 16 against Illinois-Springfield at 3 p.m. at Neil Carey Arena.
Lewis will be looking for its fourth GLVC Tournament Crown in a row as the tournament takes place Friday, November 22-Sunday, November 24.
