INDIANAPOLIS – The NCAA announced the qualifiers for the 2024 NCAA DII Women’s Volleyball Tournament and that the Lewis women’s volleyball team will be competing in the NCAA Tournament after clinching the Great Lakes Valley Conference automatic bid by winning the GLVC Tournament Championship on Sunday (November 24) against Rockhurst. The Flyers will be the fourth seed and take on fifth seed Rockhurst Thursday, December 5. The entire Midwest Region Tournament will take place at No. 1 seed Ferris State inside Bulldog Arena in Big Rapids, Michigan.
The Flyers are 22-10 so far this season and coming off winning the GLVC Tournament Championship. The Hawks went 21-7 in 2024 and are coming off a GLVC Tournament Championship loss against Lewis.
Top-seed Ferris State (31-0) will take on No. 8 seed Missouri-St. Louis starting on Thursday, December 5. The winner of that matchup will play the winner of Lewis/Rockhurst Friday, December 6 for a shot at the NCAA DII Midwest Regional Championship Match.
Grand Valley State drew the second seed will take on seventh-seeded Quincy on Thursday, December 5. The No. 3 seed Hillsdale will take on No. 6 seed Findlay on Thursday as well.
The winner of those two matchups will play Friday, December 6 for a chance at the regional championship as well. Times for all the matchups on who will play when will be available soon.
