MATCHES 9-10

Illinois volleyball wraps up its non-conference slate with the Lippy Invite this weekend. The Fighting Illini face off against Missouri on Friday at 4 p.m. and Lipscomb on Saturday at 6 p.m. The matches will be available on ESPN+.

The 2024 campaign marks the 51st season of Illinois volleyball, with the Illini holding an overall record of 1,073-625-7 (.632). Chris Tamas enters his eighth season at the helm for the Orange and Blue, boasting a 138-82 (.627) mark.

LAST TIME OUT

Illinois volleyball topped WKU, 3-1 at the Hyatt Place Invitational finale. Raina Terry added her second-straight double-double, tallying 19 kills and 14 digs. Averie Hernandez also impressed with 17 kills and 12 digs in the match. Defensively, Cari Bohm registered a career-best nine blocks, while Christina Martinez Mundo tallied 15 digs. Terry was named to the all-tournament team following the match.

REIGN OF TERROR  

Raina Terry continues to impress as the outside hitter competes in her final season in the Orange and Blue. The Ohio native ranks second in the Big Ten with 161.5 points and 5.21 points per set this year. Terry’s 132 total kills during the 2024 campaign puts the pin in fourth place in the conference. During the Illini’s three tournaments, so far, this year, the Orange and Blue pin was named to three all-tournament teams, being named the MVP twice.
