Maggie Miller Announces Return for 2023 Season

OXFORD, Miss. – A consistent presence on the court and a steady passer for the past four seasons, Ole Miss volleyball’s Maggie Miller announced she will utilize her extra year of eligibility and return for a fifth season with the Rebels.

“The Ole Miss volleyball program will be greatly impacted by Maggie’s return for her fifth year,” said head coach Bre Henry. “Maggie embodies our values and leads by example. She wants nothing but to aid the success of Rebel Volleyball, and we are very fortunate to have her presents in the gym, locker room and on campus.”

Miller returns for a fifth season in an Ole Miss uniform after appearing in nearly 250 sets across 69 matches in her career. The Houston, Texas, native looks to continue to leave her legacy with the hopes of taking the Rebels back to the NCAA Tournament.

Last season, Miller appeared in 26 matches, including 12 starts as a defensive specialist. She registered 141 digs and 349 receptions on the season, while adding 16 assists and 12 service aces. During her senior season she helped Ole Miss welcome in and lead a talented freshman class, passing on valuable experience to the rookies.

As a junior, she saw action in 23 matches, helping guide Ole Miss to its first NCAA Tournament appearance in 11 years and its best winning percentage in program history (.700). Miller tallied the fourth-most digs on the team with 123 total en route to a fifth-place finish in the SEC. During the 2020-21 season, she played in 19 matches, recording 105 digs. As a freshman, she appeared in just one match.

“I chose to stay at Ole Miss for my fifth year because the bond with my teammates and my coaches is something special,” said Miller. “I couldn’t resist the opportunity to continue to grow, compete and play the sport I love with my best friends.”
