Mary Shroll Drafted to Vegas Thrill

Representing Sun Devil Volleyball, graduate libero Mary Shroll was picked fourth in the second round of the Pro Volleyball Federation (PVF) draft on Monday by the Vegas Thrill.

Shroll was the second libero chosen in the draft. She also was the first Arizona State player drafted in program history. Former Sun Devil student-athlete Oluoma Okaro is currently on the roster for the San Diego Mojo. For the complete draft list, head to the PVF website.

The draft pick comes days after Shroll helped Sun Devil Volleyball clinch at least a share of the Big 12 Championship, the first conference title in team history. She has led the team in digs all season and has been in the top two for digs per set in the Big 12. A three-time Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week winner, she also was named to the 2024 AVCA Division I National Player of the Year Watchlist. In all but two matches this season, she has notched double-digit digs, including seven with 20 or more digs. Her season-best 32 dig outing came against Arizona at home. According to Volleymetrics, she is the second best passer among all Power Four players (in passing average).

ASU plays at home this Friday, hosting UCF for Senior Day and a chance to win the Big 12 outright.
