KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Lady Vols welcome the 25th-ranked Auburn Tigers to Food City Center this Sunday afternoon.
With the match being on 10/20, fans can purchase tickets for the game at half price and hotdogs will be $2 until first serve at 2 p.m. Stick around after the match for player autographs by the court as part of our Signature Sunday special. The contest will also be streamed on SEC Network+.
Doors open one hour before each match. Parking is available in G3, G4 and G5 lots beside the arena. Gate B will be the entrance for general fans, while students and player guests are encouraged to use Gate C. The clear bag policy is in effect for all matches. Last season, the Lady Vols bested a ranked Tiger team in Knoxville in a four-set victory, and the Big Orange has been the winner in seven of the last eight matchups. Both teams are coming off losses on Wednesday. Tennessee dropped a tough battle against No. 15 Kentucky, while Auburn fell to in-state rival Alabama in five sets.
Junior outside hitter Hayden Kubik is coming off back-to-back performances with double-doubles. During the last four contests, she’s tallied 50 kills and 48 digs to help pace the Lady Vol offense. The freshmen duo of right side Paityn Chapman and middle blocker Chelsea Sutton has enjoyed a solid start to their collegiate careers. Chapman is second on the team in kills (128) and blocks (38), while Sutton is averaging a team-best 0.89 blocks per set and has 31 rejections on the year.
After Sunday’s contest, Tennessee is back on the road for a three-match stretch against Florida (Oct. 25), Georgia (Nov. 1) and South Carolina (Nov. 3).
