The Lady Vols (13-9, 6-6 SEC) bested the Bulldogs (9-12, 3-8 SEC) two weeks ago in Athens, winning the match in four sets. The Big Orange has won five of the last six contests between the two teams and hasn’t lost to UGA in Knoxville since 2020.

Tennessee swept LSU and then defeated Texas A&M in four sets last weekend to kickoff a five-match homestand. Freshman right side Paityn Chapman averaged 3.57 points, 3.00 kills and 1.14 blocks per set while hitting .357 to lead the Lady Vols. She enjoyed a strong effort offensively and defensively against the Aggies, tallying 12 kills and a career-best seven blocks. It marked her 10th double-digit kill performance of the season.

Defensively, UT was paced by junior middle blocker Keondreya Granberry and sophomore defensive specialist Mackenzie Plante. Granberry averaged 3.29 points, 2.57 kills, 1.43 blocks and 0.43 digs per set during the wins, while Plante recorded 3.86 digs per set and tallied a career-high 18 digs against Texas A&M.

Georgia is on a three-match losing skid and has dropped five of its last six contests. The Bulldogs are led by graduate student middle blocker Sophie Fischer, who is averaging 2.92 kills, 1.42 blocks, 0.74 digs and 0.34 aces per set.

After this match, UT is back at home for the penultimate weekend of the regular season, taking on Arkansas (Nov. 22) and South Carolina (Nov. 24). The contest against the Gamecocks will be a rematch from earlier in the month and will be Senior Day.
