ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced on Monday (July 18) that the Lewis University men’s and women’s volleyball teams earned the 2021-2022 USMC/AVCA Team Academic Award.
The award goes to teams that achieve a GPA of 3.3 or greater on a 4.0 scale or a 4.1 or greater on a 5.0 scale.
The Flyer men accumulated a GPA of 3.53 for the 2021-22 school year and were one of 31 collegiate men’s programs to earn the award.
The Flyer women posted a 3.45 GPA and were one of 147 Division II schools to earn the award on the women’s side.
