Men’s Volleyball Falls to Widener

IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Immaculata men’s volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to Widener on Tuesday evening. The set scores were 25-20, 29-27 and 25-20.

Garrett Pepper led the Macs with seven kills. John Bohrer tallied five kills, and Pierce Thomas added three kills. Joe Martell distributed 14 assists, and Jack Debes contributed two service aces. Matthew Pfister, and Brandon Fox each had three digs.

In the second set Immaculata jumped out to an early 8-3 lead following a service ace by Jack Debes and kills by Garrett Pepper and Joe Martell. The teams would continue to exchange the lead throughout the set. The score was tied seven times during the set. With the score tied at 27-27, Widener managed to earn the side out, and closed out the set with a kill winning 29-27. The Pride would go on to close out the match taking the third set 25-20.

Immaculata (2-3) will be back in action on Thursday, February 2nd when the host Wilkes University at Alumnae Hall at 7:00 PM.
