Mikenzie Martens Named SUNYAC Women’s Volleyball Defensive Athlete of the Week

Cortland junior libero Mikenzie Martens (Carthage) has been selected as the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Women’s Volleyball Defensive Athlete of the Week for the week ending Sept. 10.

Martens averaged five digs per set during a 2-1 weekend for the Red Dragons at the Kean Invitational. She posted 28 digs in a four-set win over Kean and 22 digs in a five-set victory against Springfield. Martens was selected to the all-tournament team. 

 

Cortland (5-1) will host Ithaca College in a non-league match Tuesday at 6 p.m.
