STANFORD, Calif. – Kami Miner has been tabbed the ACC Setter of the Year, highlighting Stanford’s All-ACC awards, the conference announced today.
Miner is joined on the All-ACC First Team by middle blocker Sami Francis and outside hitter Elia Rubin. Opposite Jordyn Harvey, outside hitter Ipar Kurt and libero Elena Oglivie landed on the All-ACC Second Team. Middle blocker Lizzy Andrew was selected to the All-ACC Freshman Team.
Stanford now has 171 all-conference selections all-time, including honorable mention, and 48 all-freshman picks, including honorable mention.
Miner is the third Stanford player to be named a conference Setter of the Year in three consecutive seasons, collecting the Cardinal’s ninth award overall as Madi Bugg won Pac-12 Setter of the Year from 2013-15 and Jenna Gray earned it from 2017-19.
Miner, who hails from Redondo Beach, leads the ACC and is 12th nationally with 11.02 assists per set. She’s guided the Cardinal offense to the third-best hitting percentage in the nation at .315 – the fifth best mark in school history. The senior leads the team with 16 double-doubles on the season, averaging 2.67 digs per set. She became just the fifth player in program history to register 5, 000 career assists and is currently tied with Bugg for third all-time at 5,014. Miner recorded 40 or more assists in 14 matches and was named the ACC Setter of the Week six times this season.
A native of San Diego, Francis is second in the ACC and third nationally with 1.59 blocks per set. She is also third in the conference and 12th in the nation with a .407 attack percentage. A three-time ACC Defensive Player of the Week, the senior has hit .400 or better in 18 matches this season and registered double-digit kills on eight occasions. She has tallied five or more blocks in 19 of 28 matches played.
Rubin, a three-time all-conference selection, leads the team and is third in the ACC with 4.48 points per set. She is fourth in the conference with 3.88 kills per set and is second on the team with eight double-doubles this season. The Santa Monica native has hit .300 or better in 17 matches, including eight matches above the .400 threshold. Rubin has led the Cardinal in kills in 18 of 28 matches played and recorded 20 or more kills four times.
Harvey, who hails from Salt Lake City, leads the team and is seventh in the ACC with 0.39 aces per set. The sophomore is third on the team with 2.70 kills per set. She has registered double-digit kills in 15…
