Nakhon Pathom, Thailand, June 14, 2024 – Nakhon Pathom, a province located around 56km west of Thailand’s capital city Bangkok, is set to host the 15th Asian Women’s U18 Volleyball Championship between June 16 and 23, which serves as Asian qualification for the 2025 FIVB Volleyball Girls’ U19 World Championship.

Nakhon Pathom, featuring an ancient religious structure called Phara Pathom Chedi, the first religious landmark that signified the influx of Buddhism into Thailand, and known for its abundant fruit varieties and famous dishes, has just completed hosting the 22nd “Princess Cup” Women’s U18 Southeast Asian Volleyball Championship on June 13.
Actually, this is for the 9th time that Thailand is hosting the Asian Women’s U18 Championship and Nakhon Pathom is no stranger to the championship as the province is organizing the flagship biennial tournament for three times in a row (2018, 2022, 2024). Nakhon Pathom was also set to organize the 13th edition in 2020 but it was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ratchaburi Gymnasium
The 15th edition of the Asian Women’s U18 Championship will take place at Nakhon Pathom Gymnasium here and Ratchaburi Gymnasium in Ratchaburi province, with both competition sites being located apart with a distance of 42km.
A total of 13 teams are taking part in this topflight competition to fight for top honor and Top Four berths in the next year’s Girls’ U19 World Championship.

Teams split into four pools A, B, C and D of three teams apiece, except Pool D with four teams. Hosts Thailand, Uzbekistan and Macao China are in Pool A, while Pool B consists of defending champions Japan, Iran and Philippines. Pool C features China, Kazakhstan and Hong Kong China, while Korea, Chinese Taipei, India and Australia are in Pool D.
Teams will contest pool round-robin preliminaries from June 16 to 18, with only top two teams from each pool through to the round of last 8. June 19 will be the rest day and the competition resumes on June 20 in the round of last 8, with teams from Pools B and D competing in Pool F and those from Pools A and C contesting Pool E.
