Nearly 40 Beach Events Unite in the 2025 BVCA Club Challenge Series powered by JVA

The JVA is excited to announce that the 2024-2025 BVCA Club Challenge Series powered by the JVA is expanding to nearly 40 beach events across 15 states, a testament to the incredible cooperative effort of our beach club community.

In partnership with the Beach Volleyball Clubs of America, the competitive beach series emulates the collegiate game, with a club dual format. Every event included in this series is a collaboration of junior beach volleyball clubs that align their ranked teams to compete against one another for the win. Each tournament is required to have match play competition that adhere to the NCAA beach volleyball rules, which helps clubs develop their athletes for the next level.

“The expansion to 40 events reflects our collective commitment to providing athletes with a platform that mirrors the collegiate format, offering them the opportunity to compete at the highest level,” said BVCA Founder and JVA Board Member Jeff Smith. “Our growth is a direct result of the unwavering dedication of our member beach clubs, who work tirelessly to deliver top-tier coaching and training to our athletes. By striving together to enhance our tour, we create the perfect environment for these young athletes to excel and pursue their dreams. This synergy between quality coaching, competitive opportunities, and a commitment to excellence is proving to be the key formula for success in developing players ready to compete at the next level in the NCAA. We look forward to seeing the positive impact of this expansion and the bright future it promises for our athletes and the beach volleyball community.”

Each event in the BVCA Club Challenge Series powered by JVA is required to have match play competition following NCAA beach volleyball rules with 5-team or 3-team “squads”, as well as a pairs event where all teams must come from the same club. Each event can have up to 3 divisions, allowing clubs and athletes to have matched competition among three divisions: Open, Club, and Futures. There is no stay to play policy, and every tournament is open to clubs/teams of any affiliation (AAU, USAV, JVA, other) so all teams are welcome and will be insured. The series culminates in the 2025 BVCA National Championships in Hermosa Beach in mid July.
