It is the very last week of the DI women’s volleyball regular season with selections are on Sunday, and here is my last Power 10 of the 2024 season.
1. Nebraska (Prev. 2)
For the final week, I have a significant switch. Nebraska has overtaken my No. 1 spot.
The Huskers picked up their second sweep over Wisconsin this season, now their sixth top-10 win. This was enough to take over No. 1 in my eyes. It was a dominant performance not to give up a single set to what I think is a really good Wisconsin team.
A perfect Senior Night sweep! 🧹
The No. 2 Huskers swept the No. 6 Badgers for the 2nd time this season to advance to 18-0 in B1G play!

2. Pitt (Prev. 1)
Pitt is at No. 2. Don’t worry, Panthers fans. This is still one of the best teams in the country, and the Panthers are capable of winning it all.
I’ve said it all season, and it holds true now. Pitt and Nebraska are in a league of their own.
3. Penn State (Prev. 3)
Penn State stays at No. 3 after sweeping Purdue for its fourth top-10 win of the year. The Nittany Lions held the Boilermakers to .142 hitting. Gillian Grimes was fantastic in the backcourt.
4. Louisville (Prev. 4)
Louisville stays at No. 4, I know we are all getting ready for the Pitt rematch Wednesday in Louisville. What a thriller it was in the first round. We have round two this week, and then it doesn’t end there for the Cardinals. They visit Stanford on Saturday.
5 & 6. Creighton (Prev. 5) & Stanford (Prev. 7)
Creighton holds steady at No. 5 with the Big East tournament coming up this week and an auto bid on the line.
Stanford jumps back to No. 6 after Wisconsin’s three-set loss to Nebraska. The Cardinal has Georgia Tech and Louisville this week, which are two great chances to improve their standing for the tournament.
7 & 8. Wisconsin (Prev. 6) & SMU (Prev. 8)
Wisconsin drops a spot to No. 7, and SMU holds steady at No. 8, looking to win out.
9 &10. Arizona State (Prev. 9) & Kansas (Prev. NR)
