Nico Paula Named MIVA Defensive Player of the Week, Off the Block Libero of the Week

ROMEOVILLE, Ill. — The Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association announced that Nico Paula (Tampa, Fla./Berkeley Preparatory School) was named MIVA Defensive Player of the Week for his performance last week including Lewis’ victory against No. 9 BYU. Paula was also named Libero of the Week by Off the Block Blog. 

Paula recorded 22 digs in both matches including 13 in the victory against No. 9 Brigham Young.

Lewis is currently ranked No. 12 in the latest AVCA/NVA Men’s Volleyball Coaches Poll and welcome Merriack College Friday (Jan. 19) and Kentucky State Saturday (Jan. 20) to Neil Carey Arena this week.
