ROMEOVILLE, Ill. — The Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association announced that freshman Nico Paula (Tampa, FL/Berkeley Preparatory School) was awarded MIVA Defensive Player of the Week for his performance on the court last weekend.
In two matches last week, Paula recorded 15 digs and had 36 total receptions with only one error for a .973 reception percentage to help Lewis record a pair of victories.
Paula becomes the second Flyer to receive the Defensive Player of the Week honor after junior Max Roquet (Johnston, Iowa/Johnston) won it for the week of January 17.
