No. 15 Volleyball Heads To LA This Weekend


TEMPE – With momentum after a historic win, No. 15 Sun Devil Volleyball is back on the road, heading to Los Angeles to face UCLA on Friday and USC on Sunday.

Friday’s match at UCLA is at 7 p.m. PDT/MST and will be on the UCLA Live Stream. The match on Sunday at USC is at 2 p.m. PST/3 p.m. MST and is on the Pac-12 Network. Both matches will have live stats and fans can follow along for updates on X (@SunDevilVB) and Instagram (@sundevilvolleyball). 

Sun Devil Outlook

No. 15 Arizona State (21-3, 9-3 Pac-12)

  • It was an incredible weekend for Arizona State. The team swept both Cal and No. 3 Stanford, keeping ASU undefeated at home this season. The win over the Cardinal was the Sun Devils’ first sweep over them since 1993 (second ever) and handed Stanford its first conference loss. 
  • The Sun Devils have two top-five wins this season: No. 3 Stanford (home) and No. 5 Oregon (away). The only other season with two top-five wins was in 2010, also one home and one away. But this is the first time ASU has swept two top-five teams in the same season.
  • The two sweeps this weekend got ASU to 15 three-set wins on the year, which is tied with 2013 for the highest number of sweeps in a single season.
  • The squad got win 21, which is the most wins this century at Arizona State and is the sixth-highest win total in program history. This is the 11th time a Sun Devil team has reached 20 wins, the first since 2014. 
  • Senior opposite Marta Levinska was both the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week and the AVCA/GameChanger Division I Player of the Week. It was her third time winning a Pac-12 weekly award this season, fifth in her career to give her the most that any Sun Devil has had. She also is the fifth Sun Devil to earn a national player of the week honor, first since 2021. She led all players in kills in both matches and moved up to ninth in the ASU record book for career kills in the process. 
  • Graduate libero Mary Shroll was the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week, her first time winning a conference weekly award. Shroll held down the defense all weekend, reaching double figures in both matches and leading the team. She has…
