MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – The second-ranked USC beach volleyball team (10-1) had a 46-dual win streak ended by No. 1-ranked TCU (13-0) in a 4-1 final to open the Surf & Turf Invitational on South Beach sand on Friday, March 17.

TCU scored the first point of the dual with a win at the No. 2 spot as Sutton MacTavish and Ana Vergara took a 21-17, 21-16 win over twin seniors Audrey Nourse and Nicole Nourse, which snapped a seven-match win streak held by the Trojan duo.
TCU went on top, 2-0, with a win by the Frogs’ four pair of Anhelina Khmil and Kate Privett as they defeated junior Olivia Bakos and freshman Bailey Showalter, 21-16, 21-19. USC claimed its dual point as its newly-formed pair of junior Delaynie Maple and freshman Gabby Walker took down Maria Gonzalez and Hailey Hamlett, 21-14, 21-17, at the No. 3 position.
Moments later, TCU secured the third point of the dual from the top spot as Daniela Alvarez and Tania Moreno completed a 21-11, 21-11 over graduate Madison Shields and freshman Madison White to snap the Trojans’ four-match win streak. With the dual decided, the Horned Frogs added a fourth point from the No. 5 pairs where Hailey Brockett and Rochelle Scott got a three-set 18-21, 21-16, 15-10 win over freshman Delaney Karl and graduate Ashlyn Rasnick-Pope.
