LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The No. 5-ranked University of Louisville volleyball team continues ACC play as they travel to No. 13-ranked Georgia Tech on Friday at 7 p.m. ET and North Carolina on Sunday at 1 p.m.

Louisville moves to 22-2 on the season and 13-1 in ACC play with three weeks left of regular season play after beating NC State on Friday night 3-0 and North Carolina on Sunday afternoon 3-1. Claire Chaussee had a career-high performance against North Carolina with 24 kills hitting .380. Chaussee recorded 10 kills, six digs, and one block against NC State. Aiko Jones notched 14 kills on the weekend to move into the 1,000 kills club. Jones also had four aces, ten blocks, and nine digs. Amaya Tillman had ten kills, five digs, and ten blocks on the weekend, while Raquel Lazaro had 57 assists, 14 digs, and seven blocks.
About the Ramblin’ Wreck
Georgia Tech split the weekend with a 3-1 loss to Miami on Friday night and a 3-2 win against Florida State on Sunday afternoon to move to 11-3 in ACC play and 18-5 overall. The Ramblin’ Wreck were led by star outside hitter Julia Bergmann, who had 16 kills against Miami and 38 kills hitting .338 against FSU. Bergmann picked up six aces, 21 digs, and six blocks on the weekend. Biana Bertolino, a sophomore outside, had nine kills, five digs, and one block against Miami and 14 kills, 20 digs, and two blocks against FSU. Breland Morrissette recorded 15 kills, one ace, and 13 blocks on the weekend.
About the Tar Heels
North Carolina split the weekend with a sweep of Notre Dame on Friday night and a 3-1 loss to Louisville on Sunday afternoon to move to 7-7 in ACC play and 15-10 overall. The Tar Heels were led by sophomore outside Mabrey Shaffmaster’s two double-digit kill performances. Shaffmaster had 15 kills, one ace, one block, and 11 digs against Notre Dame and 16 kills, two aces, one block, and seven digs against Louisville. Charley Niego notched nine kills, two aces, one block, and six digs against Notre Dame and 16 kills, one ace, two blocks, and 14 digs against Louisville.
